Everybody has a talent. We just have to find it. ‘We’ in this case means all three parties involved: the individual him/herself, the organisation he/she is working for, and the overall society. (As of now I will use ‘the individual’ altering in the male and female form for ease of reading). When I started my company ‘people & results’ after about 20 years of corporate life my aim was to support individuals and organizations to realize their goals through motivation and excitement. Why another book on talent management? During my work for and with organisations and individuals I noticed that I have a more holistic view than others appear to have. This book is not meant as a ‘how to’ book. Nor is it a scientific essay on a narrow subject. It is meant as fruit for thought for all parties involved.
For organizations I will describe the holistic approach to ‘the right person at the right place at the right time’. ‘Right’ should be linked to a thoroughly thought-through strategy, including the future. I will put a lot more light on this in this book.
The individual shall find inspiration to search for her true calling. Not least since Dale Carnegie inspired us to have a clear set of goals also for our private life we are invited to look at our life holistically.
